About Me
From Electrical Engineering to Data Science & AI
My Journey to Data Science
I'm Nikhil Sajeev Kumar, currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science & AI at the University of Liverpool. My journey into data science began during my undergraduate studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology in Kerala, India.
While studying electrical systems and circuits, I discovered my passion for data-driven decision making and predictive analytics. I realized that the analytical and problem-solving skills I developed in engineering could be powerfully applied to extracting insights from data and building intelligent systems.
This realization led me to pursue formal education in Data Science and AI at Liverpool, where I'm now diving deep into research methods, programming fundamentals, advanced mathematics and statistics, artificial intelligence, database systems, and the intersection of big data with society.

Why Data Science?
My engineering background taught me to approach problems systematically and think analytically. When I discovered data science, I realized it was the perfect intersection of my interests: problem-solving, mathematics, programming, and creating real-world impact.
What excites me most is the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data and build predictive models that help businesses and organizations make better decisions. From identifying at-risk customers to predicting prices and analyzing sentiment, I love turning raw data into clear, valuable insights.
My goal is to work on challenging data science problems in industries where data-driven decisions can make a significant difference, whether that's in technology, healthcare, finance, or any field that values evidence-based strategy.
